Pain: A poem about Borderline Personality Disorder

This deep and honest poem was written by a new friend of mine on Twitter, BPD Society. It’s such a raw and truthful representation of what Borderline Personality Disorder is like, and I’m so happy that I’m able to share it with you.

If you enjoyed reading this poem that Ermalita wrote or if you can relate to it, please consider commenting so that we know you stopped by! I would also appreciate it if you stopped by and showed Ermalita some love on Twitter!

They say no pain, no gain.
But all it’s done is drive me insane.

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
But the tough times are now lasting longer

Pain is temporary and it will pass.
But I find that hard to believe when my happiness never lasts.

Laughter is the best medicine, so they say.
Then the sadness kicks in and everything else fades away.

We love you and we’ll always be here.
That’s what they all say before they up and disappear.

Left alone again drowning in the rain.
Save me please, from all this PAIN. — Ermalita Montesino
