My goals for September 2018

September is here! A new month means new goals for my blog, but first, I’ll recap what last month’s goals were. The goals I set in August were the first ones that I ever set for my blog. I was nervous at first because I don’t really handle failure that well, but after seeing various bloggers having and meeting their own goals, I couldn’t help but wonder if I should set some for my own blog.

I’m glad that I decided to set my own goals. Not only does it give me something to work towards, but it allows me to see what areas I’m doing well in and what areas I need to improve in. All in all, it will only help me and my blog, which is something I can’t pass up.

My August 2018 goals were…

Unique blog views: 700
Blog posts: 6
Wordpress followers: 100
Twitter followers: 8,000

My goal for unique monthly views was 700 and I’m happy to report that I reached this goal! It was definitely a close one, and I was really unsure if I was going to make it, but my lovely Twitter fam pulled through for me like the wonderful people they are. They not only read some of my posts, but they shared and RT’d some of them, which is more than I could ever hope for.

My goal for number of blog posts during August was 6, and I’m honestly surprised to say that I dominated that number! I ended up writing 14 blog posts last month, which is definitely an improvement for me.

I’ve never really focused on my WordPress follower count, but I decided to start working on it last month. I started out with approximately 55, but I wanted to almost double that and shoot for 100. I owe so much to the blogging community for this one. They are truly awesome and helped me blow that goal out of the water!

I set my Twitter follower count goal at 8,000. At the beginning of August, I had around 7,500. Honestly, I was really unsure if I would meet this goal. I want to set reasonable goals, but I felt as though I was reaching on that one. I was blown away at how much support I’ve received on Twitter, though. Not only did I receive my 8,000th follower, but I surpassed my goal!

I so deeply appreciate each and every one of you for helping me reach my goals. I continue to be humbled by all of your support, and I only hope that I’m giving back as much as I’m receiving from all of you.

I did some thinking and I think I came up with some challenging, but attainable, goals for this month.

Thank you! Good luck on reaching your goal! I try to stick to a schedule but sometimes it gives me anxiety because I worry about whether or not I’ll stick to my post schedule, so I try to not stress too much.
