About the Invaluable Blogger Award

Invaluable Blogger Award

The Invaluable Blogger Award is an award that recognizes bloggers for their kindness, support, creativity, advocacy, and dedication. These traits and values make them truly invaluable to the blogging community and it is important that they are recognized, appreciated, and encouraged.

Awarding your peers with the Invaluable Blogger Award is a great way to your show support and appreciation for them and their work. The blogging community will thrive and be a much better place if we see each other as friends and colleagues as opposed to enemies or competition. We each have our own voices and stories, and there is enough success in the world for all of us.

The nomination process

The nomination process is meant to be a chain reaction. When a blogger is awarded the Invaluable Blogger Award, he or she is asked to pay it forward by nominating three of their peers to receive the award. Their peers would then continue paying it forward, and so on and so forth.

If you are awarded the Invaluable Blogger Award and wish to participate, please follow the steps below to draft your acceptance blog post.

Step One: Award image

Please include the official Invaluable Blogger Award image in your post. It can be found here: Invaluable Blogger Award official image.

IMPORTANT: Please right-click the image and then “Save” or “Save As” to save to your computer and upload to your own blog.

Step Two: Award acknowledgement

What is an award without a speech, right? Please include a brief statement to serve as your response for receiving the Invaluable Blogger Award. This is the perfect opportunity to thank the person who nominated you and share how you feel about being nominated. Don’t forget — you deserve it!

Step Three: Award information

Share the following information about the Invaluable Blogger Award in your own words. Please be sure to include the 5 traits (kindness, support, creativity, advocacy, and dedication), as that is what the award is based on.

Bloggers who are nominated for the Invaluable Blogger Award should create a blog post, like my own, to acknowledge their award. The post should include the following:

1. Award image
2. Award acknowledgement
3. Award information
4. Answers to the questions given to you
5. Your 3 nominations for the Invaluable Blogger Award

If you aren’t sure how to phrase the above information, you are more than welcome to write a brief snippet about the award and add a link to this post (copy and paste: https://www.navigatingdarkness.com/about-the-invaluable-blogger-award) instead so that your readers can read this post for more information.

Step Four: Your answers to the questions given to you

The person who awarded you with the Invaluable Blogger Award gave you five questions to answer in your blog post. Please copy and paste them in your post and provide your answers so that your fellow bloggers and readers can learn a few things about you.

Step Five: Nominate three of your peers

If you would like to participate in the Invaluable Blogger Award by paying it forward, please select three of your peers to receive this award. Include their name or Twitter handle, a link to their blog, and a brief explanation as to why you are nominating them.

If you’d like to keep it short and sweet, feel free to identify which of the 5 traits they exemplify that you would like to recognize them for in place of a brief explanation.

Please note: Participation in the Invaluable Blogger Award is entirely voluntary and is not required.

Final Step!

After you write your post, please tag your nominees on social media to let them know that they have been awarded with the Invaluable Blogger Award! Be sure to deem them as an #InvaluableBlogger on Twitter!

The first 3 nominations

To get the Invaluable Blogger Award started, I will nominate the first three bloggers who I feel deserve this award. There are many bloggers who deserve it and I can’t wait to see who all is nominated!

1. @TheGoodTheHuma1 from The Good The Human
2. @Aerwyn_Flynn from A Beautiful Bipolar Mind
3. @JustSophieBlog from Just Sophie

I nominate all three of these amazing bloggers for the Invaluable Blogger Award because I have seen them demonstrate all 5 of the traits and values that I base the award on. They are all kind, supportive, creative, advocative, and determined. I am happy to have connected with each of them and can’t wait to continue seeing them grow as my friends and fellow bloggers.
